Fuel cell powered snorkel
Fuel Cells, July 15 2010 (The Hydrogen Journal)
- UltraCell Corporation of Livermore, California, has developed a fuel cell powered wearable "snorkel", enabling people to carry a silent fuel cell on their backs, providing up to 80 watts.
The snorkel has a two gallon methanol fuel tank. It can provide 1000 hours of power at 25 watts and 2500 hours at 10 watts.
The fuel cell can also be buried underground if necessary. It is waterproof.
