Sysco uses Air Products hydrogen fuelling system in Houston

- Air Products has switched on its hydrogen fuelling system to power 100 forklift trucks at Sysco Corporation's 585,000 square foot food services distribution facility in Houston.
The system was partly funded with a grant from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act through the U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE) Fuel Cell Technology Program.
The system includes outdoor liquid hydrogen storage and compression system, and a number of indoor fuelling dispensers.
The fork lift trucks use Plug Power hydrogen fuel cells, and can be refuelled in under 5 minutes.
