Acta launches hydrogen powered small vessel

- Italian fuel cell manufacturer Acta has launched a hydrogen powered tender, or small vessel designed to serve a larger vessel. It is called HIDRO.
It was launched at the European Sailing Championships being held this week in Viareggio, Italy. Two HIDRO tenders serviced sailing boats at the the championship.
It was developed together with Callegari S.p.A., an Italian producer of inflatable boats and dinghies.
The "full" commercial launch will be at Genoa Boat Show in early October 2010.
Acta also supplies a hydrogen generator for the tenders, which can be powered by solar panel.
