Maine: plan for hydrogen from waste water
Production, June  09  2010 (The Hydrogen Journal)

- Maine (USA) inventor Ronny Bar-Gadda has put together a plan to generate hydrogen from waste water, and presented it to John Kerry, energy director of the State of Maine, according to a news report in Maine Today.

Mr Bar-Gadda is seeking funding for a pilot plant.

Mr Kerry, said he was "encouraged by what he heard," according to the news report.

The company will need to raise about $6 million for the first phase of development. It then could take two years or so to develop a commercial prototype.

Mr Bar-Gadda's plan is to use electromagnetic radiation to split water into hydrogen and oxygen, using heat generated from the sewage.
