Work begins on US East Coast hydrogen highway
Transportation, June  09  2010 (The Hydrogen Journal)

- Proton Energy Systems of Connecticut has started work on its planned East Coast hydrogen highway, starting work on building its first hydrogen station in its home town of Wallingford, Connecticut.

The highway is planned to have 9 stations running from Maine to Miami, aiming to create an East Coast market for hydrogen powered cars, and making it possible to drive the East Coast on hydrogen power.

The next station to be built will be in Braintree, Massachusetts, followed by stations in Maine, Delaware or New Jersey.

Proton Energy Systems is owned by entrepreneur Tom Sullivan.
