South Wales to be "hydrogen highway"
Transportation, Feb  18  2010 (The Hydrogen Journal)

- Plans have been announced by the government of Wales (UK) to establish a series of hydrogen fuelling stations along the M4 motorway in Wales, as a 'Hydrogen Highway'.

It follows the announcement that Wales has been designated one of the UK Government's "Low Carbon Economic Areas".

The University of Glamorgan in South Wales will also invest £6.3m to develop hydrogen industries and processes, including build a hydrogen combustion engine test facility.

There is additional funding from Cenex, the UK Department for Transport’s Centre for Excellence for Low Carbon and Fuel Cell Technologies.
