Fuel cell "exoskeleton"
Applications, Jan  29  2010 (The Hydrogen Journal)

- Lockheed Martin has released a video on You Tube of an "exoskeleton" - a device which can be worn by soldiers, which transfers the weight of loads they are carrying to the ground.

Called "HULC", the device enables the user to carry loads of up to 200lbs over long periods of time. It is powered by fuel cells.

It also enables the wearer to run at speeds at up to 10 miles per hour "burst" or 7 mph for longer times. It can be removed and packed up in under 30 seconds.

The device senses what the users want to do and gives them extra strength to do it, with an onboard microcomputer.

The user can also crawl wearing the device.
